Summary for Pantry Expiry List (V1.0)

Pantry Expiry List is a local pantry tracker that helps you record food items, categories, and expiry dates, then sort a use-first list and show green / amber / red expiry status. In V1.0 the App is designed as follows:

  • No account registration or sign-in is required.
  • No advertising and no in-app purchases.
  • Pantry items, custom categories, optional photos, and settings stay on your device. There is no cloud sync in V1.0.
  • The App does not request the INTERNET permission. Item data is never uploaded to LUMEXA LLC servers.
  • The App does not integrate advertising SDKs or third-party analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.
  • V1.0 does not scan barcodes or look up products online.
  • Optional expiry reminders use local alarms. POST_NOTIFICATIONS is requested only if you turn reminders on (default: off).

Food safety: Expiry dates are entered by you. The App does not guarantee food safety and does not provide medical or FDA advice.

Information stored on your device (App)

If you use the App, information you enter or generate may be stored locally on your device, including:

  • Pantry items: name, category, quantity and unit, optional purchase date, expiry date, storage location, emoji, optional notes, optional per-item reminder, and status (for example ACTIVE, used, or discarded)
  • Categories: built-in groups (Produce, Dairy, Meat, Frozen, Canned, Snacks, Beverages, Other) and any custom categories you add
  • Optional photos: images you attach to an item through the system Photo Picker, stored in the App private directory and deleted with the item
  • Preferences: warning threshold (1 / 3 / 7 days), default reminder lead time and clock time, onboarding state, and related settings

Expiry colors are computed on device: SAFE after the warning window, SOON within the warning window, and EXPIRED after the date you entered. Use First is a local sort by expiry date. Calendar dots are generated from the same on-device dates.

Information we do not collect through the App (V1.0)

Through Pantry Expiry List V1.0, we do not:

  • Require you to create an account or sign in
  • Collect or upload pantry items, photos, or settings to our servers
  • Sell your personal information
  • Share App user content with advertisers or data brokers
  • Use advertising networks or ad SDKs
  • Use third-party analytics, attribution, or tracking SDKs
  • Look up products in an online barcode or nutrition database
  • Offer social feeds, public sharing, or cloud backup operated by us

App permissions and why they are used

Depending on your Android version and settings, the App may request or use the following:

A. Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

  • Requested only when you enable optional expiry reminders.
  • Used to show local, on-device alerts (for example, “Milk expires tomorrow — check your pantry.”).
  • Reminders are scheduled locally (AlarmManager). They are off by default and are not used for advertising. If permission is denied, the reminder toggle stays off.

B. Photo Picker (optional item photos)

  • If you attach a photo, the App uses the system Photo Picker.
  • Selected images are stored privately on the device and are deleted when you delete the item.
  • Photos are not uploaded to LUMEXA LLC in V1.0.

C. Storage Access Framework (optional export / import)

  • CSV export and JSON backup/import use Android’s Storage Access Framework. You choose the file location.
  • JSON import validates schemaVersion before merge or overwrite.
  • Export and import are user-initiated. We do not receive a copy of the file.

D. Network / Internet

  • V1.0 does not declare the INTERNET permission.
  • Core pantry tracking is designed to work offline.

If a future version needs additional permissions, network features, accounts, ads, or analytics, we will update this Policy and, where required, provide in-app or store disclosures before the change takes effect.

Website information we collect

If you contact us by email or through the mailto contact form, we receive the information you choose to send (such as name, email address, subject, and message). We use that information to respond to your inquiry.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not embed third-party advertising or analytics tracking scripts. The App does not embed advertising or analytics SDKs in V1.0. If that changes, we will update this Policy before adding such tools.

How we use information

App (V1.0)

  • Local App data is used only to provide App features on your device (item lists, expiry colors, Use First, calendar, reminders, and backups you start).
  • Because V1.0 does not upload App content to us, we do not use that content for marketing, profiling, or advertising.

Website / email

  • We use information you send us only to respond and manage related business communications.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Information sharing

The App does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. Your local pantry content is not shared by us with third parties because it is not uploaded to us.

For website or email inquiries, we may share information only when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LUMEXA LLC or others.

If you enable your device’s system backup or restore features, the operating system provider may back up local App data according to that provider’s rules. That backup is not an upload initiated by LUMEXA LLC servers.

Retention, deletion, and security

App local data

  • Retained on your device until you delete it.
  • You can delete a single item, clear all data in Settings, or uninstall the App.
  • Optional item photos are removed when the related item is deleted.

Website / email records

We retain inquiry records as needed to respond and for legitimate business records.

We design V1.0 so that App content stays on your device. Please protect your device with a screen lock or other device security features. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you (for example, emails you sent us) by emailing lakeisha@lumexallc.cloud.

Because App V1.0 does not upload pantry data to our servers, local App data must be cleared on your device (Settings → Clear all data, or uninstall).

Children

The website and Pantry Expiry List are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes

We may update this Policy. The effective date above will change when we publish a revision. If a future App version changes data practices in a material way (for example, adding cloud sync, accounts, ads, analytics, or INTERNET-based features), we will update this Policy and, where required, provide notice in the App or Google Play listing before the change takes effect.
